A professional visual identity
Brief
For this module, we were tasked with creating a professional visual identity for ourselves that represented us as designers and people. This branding then had to be applied across various printed and digital collateral, which included: a printed portfolio, business cards, a CV mailer, a PDF taster portfolio, an online portfolio (which you're looking at right now!), a display poster for our graduate showcases, and a LinkedIn profile (that you can find in the top right corner of this page).

Insights

Through self-reflection and rigorous ideation and development, I produced this pink and blue identity that I feel is unique and authentic to myself both as a designer and as a person overall. The logo specifically utilises the shape of the letter ‘a’, playing with its counter and expanding it to create a matching brand pattern for myself to further showcase my personality and design style. My favourite aspect, however, is probably the blue ribbon I used to bind my printed portfolio and CV Mailers, a nod to the ribbon used for the cake boxes in The Grand Budapest Hotel (my favourite film).
